I was lucky enough to stay at the Ritz-Carlton Abu Dhabi, Grand Canal the other day for a few days and the 5-star property does not fail to disappoint, I really enjoyed the stay. First of all the hotel has gorgeous views on one side, of the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque especially on the higher floors. The pool is a beautiful infinity pool which is huge and looks onto the sandy beach, there are also some cute cabanas available by the pool.
I stayed in the deluxe room which was absolutely gorgeous and the interiors were beautiful, I loved the colour scheme of the room. The bed was also one of the most comfortable beds that I have ever slept in any hotel, as the hotel is quite new all the rooms and amenities are brand new and modern. My room view over looked the pool and the Grand Canal.
The bathroom was very spacious and modern, the shower is great as there is the option of the rain shower which is really relaxing and the bathroom has folding doors just by the bath that allows you to watch TV while you relax in the bath also. I really loved the bath robe which had beautiful satin material on it, making it really unique and regal.
Alba– the elegant lobby lounge has a really nice afternoon tea and a yummy selection of cakes. the lounge is really cosy and beautifully furnished in venetian style. I had the strawberry cheesecake and highly recommend it if you are a fan of cheesecakes like me, you won’t be disappointed. I loved the curved sofa just outside the lobby lounge and it has a great view of the pool.
All the food I had at the Ritz-Carlton was truly amazing but my absolute favourite restaurant was Li Jiang– the chinese restaurant. It has great atmosphere and decor and it is really entertaining to watch one of the chefs make noodles with his hands in front of you in the kitchen area. I recommend the peking duck with pancakes and also the chicken dim sum.
If you want to stay in a truly regal hotel then the Ritz- Carlton is definitely perfect for you with amazing crystal chandeliers, marble on every floor and beautiful venetian furnishings.
